The founder of hunttrips-austria is Frederic (called Fritz), a professional hunter whose passion for hunting is part of his family tradition. Since he was fourteen he accompanied his grandfather and father when they went hunting. He came to know the ways of hunting in Europe and of most parts of the world.  So all his life has been dedicated to hunting on all continents. He is an outstanding specialist for mountain hunting in Austria and organizing hunting safaris in East Africa. But he has also accompanied many international hunters to countries in Eastern Europe, to Turkey, Iran, Russia, and Mongolia. Being a licensed professional hunter in East Africa he runs his own safari camp with staff in Tanzania and a Tourist-Operator-Office in Kenya. His profound knowledge and experience  guarantees the hunting success of his guests.

Fritz`s wife, Eva-Maria, manages their hunting lodge in Austria giving it its special flair and being famous for its hospitality. She is a wonderful host and is always  trying to fulfil her guests` wishes. She is a passionate hunter and if her other duties allow  she often  guides the hunting guests herself. She manages the fly fishing  in the close by River Ybbs that is also offered besides hunting by the lodge. Eva-Maria  introduces new  guests to the river to give them a good start with fly fishing trout and grayling. River Ybbs with its clear water is home of a good stock of ripe fish.

Surrounded by the unspoilt nature of an Alpine region, far from traffic and modern tourism Fritz`s and Eva-Maria`s hunting lodge looks from a prominent rock spur over the wide Ybbs valley. The lodge offers a unique, traditional hunting atmosphere and all modern comfort of a four star hotel.  Guests feel at home in the rooms furnished with antique furniture and enjoy to have their meals close to an open fire place.Fritz and Eva-Maria and their team offer their guests warmhearted hospitality, first class service and unforgettable experiences for the ones loving nature, for hunters, fly fishers and those accompanying them.
